I’m Trevor Bach, a journalist based in Los Angeles.
I’ve written about politics, culture, the environment and other topics for the Washington Post, U.S. News and World Report, VICE, the Christian Science Monitor and many other publications, reporting from around the United States and several countries. I was previously a Los Angeles reporter for The Real Deal and a staff writer for Miami New Times.
My feature writing has been highlighted in places like Longreads, the CityLab Newsletter and Politico Playbook, and my work has won awards from the Society for Professional Journalists, National Association of Real Estate Editors, Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, Florida Press Association, Florida Press Club and California Press Association.
I graduated from the Columbia Journalism School and grew up in Michigan. I also speak and sometimes report in Spanish, and I’ve previously worked as a tennis pro, English teacher and fruit picker.
